タングステン合金has the advantages of high density, good machinability, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption capacity and high strength.  Widely used in aerospace, automotive industry and radiation shielding fields.

Tungsten alloys are best suited for applications where large amounts of weight are concentrated in the smallest possible space.  Tungsten is about 1.7 times denser than lead, a traditional shielding material.  The radiation shielding performance of materials is closely related to the density of materials.  Higher density means better radiation absorption and radiation shielding.  Therefore, it provides a higher degree of shielding.  Lead alloy is a preferred shielding material for medical use.

This is a viable option in cases where lead cannot be used.  Advantages of tungsten alloys include reduced size and maximum weight in large or small cavities used for radiation shielding.  It is powerful and highly customizable into precision components.  The high specific gravity tungsten alloy shield has better shielding performance against rays and can reduce the volume of the shield.  Compared with lead, the same volume of high specific gravity tungsten alloy shield has better radiation shielding performance.  In addition, tungsten alloys are more environmentally friendly than lead and depleted uranium because they are non-toxic and pollution-free.  Lead may need to be encapsulated or coated to prevent exposure.  


In summary, tungsten alloy is the material of choice for medical and industrial environments requiring radiation shielding because it uses less material than lead to provide the same absorption level.  Tungsten is an excellent shielding material for medical purposes, ensuring minimal radiation exposure and the principle of "as low as reasonably possible" in the workplace.  Machinability, radiographic density, strength, low toxicity and heat resistance have excellent design adaptability compared to other shielding materials.  Tungsten alloy has high density (density 60 percent higher than lead), machinability, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption ability (better than lead and steel), high strength, is the best raw material for shielding parts.  The tungsten alloy shield still has the same radiation shielding capability as lead, although the size and thickness of the tungsten alloy shield are reduced.
